Selected Multimedia, Hypermedia, Hypertext Documents
Many of my projects demonstrate an attempt
to break away from the page metaphor. effort here was create a sense rear view projected image. glare reenforces that sensation.
Readers can hear sound slides being moved into and out projector.
One of five metaphors I designed and tested. This is meant to resemble an
operators' panel. The finished project is written up in the Summer 1998 issue of Technical Communication.
Once the students had studied the options and selected their favorites,
I designed this final form and produced about 1750 pages (1.6GB)in a set of instructional
modules for Mechanical Engineering Students. This is part of a two-year
test of how multimedia and hypermedia can be used in adult education.
This was an experiment in how a "Specifications HyperModule" might
be designed. The metaphor was sunlight shining on painted metal.
Part
of a $293K project, this hypertext document is meant to suppliment a Native American
literature class. The work presents students with a collection of European myths
that the students can compare to a collection of Native American myths as the
students read a series of recommended novels.
Selected Traditional Documents
This was one of a collection of ten books
I produced for the University of Puget Sound. The collection was awarded "Best
Complete Package" by the International Association of Paper Manufacturers.
The
art in this work is completely drawn by hand, using traditional graphics tools.
This
was done for a Christmas card for Weyerhaeuser Corporation.
This
was done as a logo for a company that manufacturers pipe organs.
